I'll get lost, messed up and bored when I'm alone too long
I can't sleep, function or eat when I'm not with someone
Late last fall, he ended it all and moved to who-knows-where
Just like that, he vanished and packed and never even called

You feel a certain sense of synergy between yourself and me
A kind of macabre and somber "Wonder-twin" kind of harmony
What if it was you?
You that I needed all along
I felt like a fool,
Kicking and screaming and pretending we were wrong

Let's get wrecked on pop tarts and sex and see the Taj Mahal
Let's save birds from Prince William Sound and skateboard through the mall
Let's fight crime with mangoes and limes and join the PGA
Let's win big with every spin but hurry, I can't wait

Do you spend a fortune on those late-night prepaid television scams
In search of the perfect blend of steak knife and non-stick frying pan?
What if it was you?
You that I needed all along
I felt like a fool
Thinking we were completely wrong
It seemed like a dream
A beautiful screen
That echoed forever
And made us not afraid to feel a thing

And after it ends
We'll try to be friends
They say that what doesn't kill us makes us who we are

All this time and everything's changed but I still feel the same
All good things eventually end and get washed down the drain
What a disaster it would be if you discovered that I cared
A little too much for friends but not enough to share

What if it was you?
You that I needed all along
I felt like a fool
Now that I'm sure that I was wrong
It had to be you.
It had to be you.
It had to be you.
I knew it was you.

the conversation.

Do you remember how we met?
Silhouetted by the lights...
You were drunk and tried to take a mental picture with your hands
I was thinking about that
And a bunch of other things
Stop looking at the floor...
I need to pour out this expansive dose of words.

I can't explain...
I need to be alone.

I know the timing isn't great
But these things, you just can't plan.
I just need a little time
So I can find myself again
'Cause I get buried underneath
All the things they think you are
And I'm too tired to pretend it doesn't hurt
To be left out

I had a pocket full of dreams
But I gave them all to you
Now I think I want them back
So can you tell me if I'm crazy or confused?
Don't ever change
The way you are
I've never loved anyone more.

a couple of weeks ago at assembly, they announced that friday the 7th of september was going to be a dress up day.

i was excited.

they then announced the theme was sport.

they killed all my excitement.

i have been quite sad about the whole thing... and was planning to come in just out of uniform and pay the goddamn dollar (i hate sport).

but then... at lunchtime... we had a brainwave.
a brainwave that would change our perspective about the dress-up day for good!

Daniel, Annie, Caitlin, Hannah, Emma, Brianna, and myself will be going to the sport dress up day as...

the slytherin quidditch team!

best idea we ever had.

photos, promise.
we even got broomsticks.

this is gonna rule.

i wont surviiiiiive

well, last night i went and saw harry potter and the order of the phoenix.

basically, if you've read the book and seen it, you will know that it was fucked up the arse.
they changed so much
and left so much out!

draco was only in it for like 3 seconds. talk about disappointing. and pansy wasn't in it at all! she's my favourite character! in the 5th book, she had a lot more to do with it than the movie. she wasn't even IN the movie. like, at all!

seriously.
you have to see it though. because its harry. ron had a few good lines. "you'd think a bit of snogging would cheer her up, though!"

of course, i wouldn't let that get in the way of me dressing up.

photos underneath of my costume for the late premiere of harry potter five. :]

i went as pansy parkinson, and emma tried her best to go as nymphadora tonks. [who, by the way, is an ultimately RULE character and only had like 3 lines in the movie. we were both very angry. roooaroraoarora anger!!]

thats about it. yeah.
so go see it.
but you know.
they raped the book!!

roooooar.
thank you, and good nights.

love,
pansy parkinson.

What is one of the nicest things you've ever done for another person?

i actually find it quite sad that i can't answer this question. why havent i done enough nice things? sure, i've done NICE things. but nothing super-awesome-magical-amelie nice. i should do more nice things.
i've bought people movie tickets.
and lent money.
but nothing amazing.
well.. this one time i bought a dallas crane tshirt and got it signed by the band for my friend because i knew he'd love it. i still have yet to give it to him. damn postage costs.

but something else i did once, i just remembered. i was waiting for katie to arrive at the movies to see "the davinci code", and i still had about half an hour coz i was way early. so i bought a notepad, went to blockbuster video and got a pen, and wrote nice messages on the paper, and put them under peoples windscreen wipers on their cars. i have no idea who those people were, or what they thought, or where they are now, but it felt really nice to write things for them. things like "you complete me", or "you have to let yourself be happy to enjoy life".

i really hope that they changed some lives. although it's rather unlikely.

i'm just surprised i had the guts to go up to the guy at blockbuster and ask for a pen that i could keep. ahaha. i could've just bought one.
what a douche!

i had to type up my dream somewhere because it ruled so much.

i wrote a letter to the white stripes, and i like, created a crossword and a find-a-word and did paintings and stuff and sent it with it. then i was on the internet, and the internet asid they'd be arriving in melbourne on the 10th and that all fans were encouraged to go meet them at the airport. i really wanted to go but mum said it was too far and i prolly wouldnt even see them. so i said "thats okay" and just kept doing whatever. then i was back at school, but for some reason it was my primary school, and i was standing where i used to stand when i was in year 6 before the bell went. then everyone started squarking and stuff, and then meg and jack came up in the corridor dressed in their pearly king and queen clothes, asking people if they "knew where greta punch was?". i said "me! me! i'm greta punch!" and jack came over and thanked me for the letter, and that it was the best letter that they had ever gotten. i was like "zomggg!" and i really wanted to get my photo with them, but i was too scared to ask, and i remembered that my camera was in my schoolbag which was round the other side of the school. suddenly it was dark and i decided to run around and get my camera. so i did, and came back, and meg and jack were doing an interview or something in the schools basement. so i waited a while for them, and this white cat randomly attached itself to my leg. i started yelling at this cat, and jack came out and was like "whats all the noise about!?" and i told him about the cat, and he pulled it off my leg, nailed it to a frisbee, and flung it over a rainbow (hahaha). then he kissed me on the head! randomly. and i got my photo with him. then he said he had to go. and i said "okay, you can go". and he and meg gave me a hug, and got into a really fast car and drove away. it was pretty awesome. i liked it.

jack white kissed my head.

ahahahahahaha.
sweet.

i has nice friends.

its the holidays!
and what better way to celebrate than out for dinner with your lovely lads and lassies of school friends. we all went to Macey's. michael emma and i were first there. then sonia, then dallas. we talked a bit, then went in to find our table. everyone else was like 20 minutes late. idiots.

dinner was loads of fun. i ate before i came, so i just had ice-cream. it was good though. everyone was happy and joyous.

Dallas taught me how to turn my eyelids inside out, and i taught him how to play this game with your fingers [it has no name!]. we ate fruity pigs and drank blue slushies and i quoted black books A LOT. i told everyone about how i donated blood (i donated yesterday, you should too!) and i made it sound so exciting so hopefully everyone else will donate.

all in all, it was a really great night. all my friends are so great and lovely.
thanks to all you lovelies who came:
annie, emma, dallas, cheri, bri, dale, caitlin, bec, jami-anne, mat, tom, sonia, michael, and me!

hooray! we are awesome.
come play with us sometime?

Emma's life revolves around the word 'cock', making racist jokes with Katie and myself, and the internet. The thing I like most about us is the fact that we met over MySpace, and after we met at the Holiday Actors information day, have been joined at the hip ever since. She was with me when I first got drunk, and knows a lot more about HTML than I do. She also said she hated My Chemical Romance for a long time, before she actually heard them and admitted that she thought they were really good. She's going to buy a Taking Back Sunday t-shirt on friday, and has been caught numerous times listening to "Ohio Is For Lovers" by Hawthorn Heights. She's a good kid.

Katie's life revolves around Hitler and the Jews, jokes about racism and sex, and Neopets.com. I've never met a girl who is so hilarious at all times, whether it's saying something horrible and making a pretend surprise face afterwards, or falling off/over/onto something. She's been one of my best friends ever since kindergarten, and we've never ever had a fight. We like to make pancakes, and she always makes them perfectly. Even when they're burnt, they taste great. She likes to play a lot of soccer and surf, and concequently she has a permanent tan. She's into Xavier Rudd, John Butler Trio, Pete Murray, and the like. She also says she hates My Chemical Romance, but she actually does, unlike Emma. She's one of my best friends ever.

Joe's life revolves around playing the drums, live music, and myself. When he isn't complaining about how hard maths is, he's complaining about how far Warrnambool is from Canberra. He likes to complain, a lot. But it doesn't matter because I can take it all. He can always make me laugh, especially when I irritate him (which I do a lot) and he says "I hate you" in that stupid voice, making it sound more like "Ah heet yew". He's an avid Simpsons and South Park fan, and can't stand to miss an episode, even if it's a repeat. His favourite Simpsons character is Otto the Bus Driver, and when he grows up, he wants to be just like him. He can reguarly been found quoting the line "Wow! I had mustard!?". We also met over MySpace, but unlike Emma and I, we haven't actually met yet. But that's okay. We'll meet soon. I love him.

Damo's life revolves around playing his guitar/music, history, and his hair. His hair looks like a cockatoo with a black crest. It seems as if he's stuck a knife in a powerpoint recently, and enjoyed it. He told me a while ago that he is a natural blonde, to which I replied "me too!". Our music tastes are at opposite ends of the spectrum, but neither of us dislikes the other's music (Except in his case, where he dislikes My Chemical Romance and similar artists that I do like). It's kind of convenient though, because we have a wide range of music for our radio show, the Happyhappy Greta & Damo Show! Every radio, there is an incident or story created by Damo that makes me laugh ever so hard, we have to turn off the mics and put a song on. His eyes are electric blue, has a man crush on Paul McDermott and Tim Rogers, and would never say anything horrible about someone unless he meant it. Or they really deserved it.

Anna's life revolves around reading books, writing reviews about books, and her cats. She recently got everyone she knew to list their two favourite books, and she plans to read and review them all. She's married to Paul Ferne, who looks like Hugh Grant, whom she met at a Philosophy Club at her Uni Cafe. She's tall, thin, long-haired, and looks like Arwyn from Lord Of The Rings. She's a part-time librarian with a fondness for red wine, and her cat Tolly. She's a pianist, although she doesn't play as much anymore, and is well aquainted with Absinyth. She listens to the alternative styles, like Gotye, and quaint French jazz singers. She writes good poetry, and some of it has been published in newspapers and books around Victoria. She was always my favourite cousin, because we had so much in common with reading, and the Melbourne comedy band Tripod. She's the best.

i hope it works
